Northern Geo Testing and Engineering (NorthernGeo) is a division of CCMET Inc. The office and materials testing laboratory is located in Fort St. John in the beautiful Peace River District. The facility employs engineers, technologist, and technicians serving Northern British Columbia and beyond.
The materials laboratory houses advanced testing equipment for concrete, soils, asphalt, and aggregate. Our team specializes in geotechnical engineering and materials engineering and testing primarily for the residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, ministry, energy, mining and oil & gas sectors.
NorthernGeo’s technical staff are trained and tested under the strict guidelines of Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCiL) and are proud members of the association of Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC). NorthernGeo is proud to be CCiL and COR certified as well as a contractor member of ISNetworld.
NORTHERN GEO is proud to be part of the Site C Clean Energy Project.
Working with a professional and skilled group of contractors including Peace River Hydro Partners, Kleinfelder, Bird, Atco, Kikinaw and numerous other clients, Northern Geo has been tasked with the roles of performing geotechnical engineering, instrumentation monitoring, grout testing, RCC testing, concrete testing, compaction testing (densometer and test pit densities), maximum index testing and shotcrete testing.
Northern Geo’s team of qualified Engineers and Technicians are consulting and working on the RCC mix trials, grout slurry walls trials and shotcrete mix trials, Quality Control services and Quality Control Inspectors.
Northern Geo is also involved in the infrastructure of and access to the Site C Project as well as the Workers’ Accommodation Camp, grout slurry walls, shotcrete tunnel lining, cofferdams, instrumentation, RCC & CVC batch plants, aggregate production, Quality Control Lab, equipment maintenance building, the Moberly River bridge, haul roads and many other Site C projects.
